nexus9112 [7]
It depends what the essay is, a good rule to follow is usually about 4-5 paragraphs. Make sure to have a good introduction and conclusion. In between make sure to use good evidence to support whatever you are writing about. I can't give many specific pointers because each essay differs. Wishing you good luck!

lubasha [3.4K]

Gorbachev's reforms had the unintended consequence of triggering unrest and disorder.

Explanation:

Mikhail Gorbachev was a leader of the Soviet Union that wanted to change the manner in which the country was functioning. He wanted to gradually modernize the Soviet Union, including the economy, as well as giving more power to the leaders of the states in order to manage and control the country more efficiently. The goal of this reforms was to make the country stronger and to progress, but in reality it had the opposite effect.

The reforms implemented by Gorbachev actually resulted in financial crisis. Also, the leaders of the states used the power they were granted to strengthen their position, and using the growing nationalism, the states soon started to disobey the central government. Lot of politicians were firmly against Gorbachev's reforms, and that led to political chaos as well. One by one the countries started to declare independence once they saw that the central government has lost its power, putting end to the Soviet Union and the reign of communism.

  • Kazakhstan
  • Uzbekistan
