s344n2d4d5 [400]
The independent variable is that in which the result is dependent on. For experiments, this is usually the item being varied. For this case, what is being varied is that one group is given caffeine while the other is not. That makes the amount of caffeine given to be our independent variable.

dybincka [34]

Answer:

The level of metabolism in cells is affected by between multiple signaling pathways. These signals are integrated in the cytoplasm, and their net strength determines how much glucose to use, how much glucose to store, and how much protein to make.

True

Explanation:

Reasons why metabolism in cells is affected by multiple signaling pathways is as a result of energy consumed during the process of metabolism as it requires lots of energy for protein synthesizing, glucose storage among others.

Is selection more effective against recessive alleles in haploid or diploid organisms?
svet-max [94.6K]
The selection of more effective which is against recessive alleles in haploid organisms than diploid organisms. This is because haploid organisms contain a single set of alleles if a deleterious allele is present in haploid organisms which will produce its effect immediately as there will be no dominant allele which can prevent the expression of the recessive allele as it happens in diploids. Recessive allele will not produce its effect in presence of the dominant allele in the case of heterozygote which is Aa.
Where there is haploid the selection will be more effective when removing recessive alleles in the population. It is the homozygous recessive condition which as aa then the selection will act against recessive alleles.
