DNA is the genetic material of the cell which is passed to the progeny or daughter cells from the parent cell.
The DNA is macromolecules which are made up of the repeating units called nucleotides. The nucleotide is composed of the five-carbon sugar, a phosphate group and the four types of nitrogenous bases. The arrangement of the bases in the stands of DNA contains code for the amino acids which bond together to form proteins.
