Grammar Hunches: Commands - Affirmative tú (Practice) Prompt Now that you have worked through a lot of material that includes th

ese basic patterns, and you have compared grammatically correct and incorrect sentences, write down what you think is a rule that could explain what makes a sentence grammatically correct or not. For example, you might write something like: "verbs always match nouns in number, and they usually come before the noun." In other words, make your best guess for the grammar rule that makes sense out of the pattern(s) you see in the phrases you have been working with. Review if you need to, and you might briefly check your hunches against the sentences you have been working with in this or previous modules. Keep in mind that what you're after is your hunch, not a grammar rule from a text book. Now check your hunch with the explanation of this principle in the following pattern.

Srekar needs to increase the size of the prism below by 2 inches on each side. The original prism has a length of 3, a depth of
Eddi Din [679]

Answer:

The new prism will have a length of 5 because 3 + 2 = 5.

The new prism will have a depth of 4 because 2 + 2 = 4.

Explanation:

The original prism has:

length of 3

depth of 2

height of 1

In this case, we can the volume of the prism with the formula: length × depth × height

3 × 2 × 1 = 6 in³

As seen in the question above, Srekar had to increase 2 inches on each side of the prism. In this case, we need to add this value in length, depth and height and then calculate the volume of the prism with the new values. This will happen as follows:

New length = 3 + 2 = 5 inches

New depth = 2 + 2 = 4 inches

New height = 1 + 2 = 3 inches

New volume = (5 × 4 × 3) = 60 in³

figure out the following school schedule in Spanish. Your classes begin at 8:15AM and last forty-five minutes, with ten minutes
Nastasia [14]

Hello!

The answers are:

- La clase de matemáticas es a las ocho y cuarto de la mañana.

- La clase de español es a las nueve y diez de la mañana.

- La clase de historia es a las diez y cinco de la mañana.

- La clase de química es a las once en punto de la mañana.

Why?

We are asked to write four complete sentences telling at what time do we have each class but we have to take in consideration that there is a difference of ten minutes between each class, so:

- First class, math: Starts at 8:15 a.m. and finish at 9:00 a.m.

- La clase de matemáticas es a las ocho y cuarto de la mañana.

- The math class starts at a quarter past eight in the morning.

- Second class, Spanish: Starts at 9:10 a.m and finish at 9:55 a.m.

- La clase de español es a las nueve y diez de la mañana.

- The Spanish class starts at ten past nine in the morning.

Third class, history: Starts at 10:05 and finish at 10:50 a.m.

- La clase de historia es a las diez y cinco de la mañana.

- The history class starts at five past ten in the morning.

Fourth class, chemistry: Starts at 11:00 a.m. and finish at 11:45 a.m.
