Without big farms to run, the people in the North did not rely on slave labor very much. In the South, the economy was based on agriculture. The soil was fertile and good for farming. They grew crops like cotton, rice, and tobacco on small farms and large plantations.

How did the missouri compromise affect massachusetts?
stich3 [128]
Missouri Compromise admitted the zone of Maine, the northern locale of what was then Massachusetts, into the Union as a Free State.
This was done to adjust the quantity of "slave states" and "free states." This happened because of a compromise about slavery in Missouri, and in the federal regions of the American west.

Did James Madison have the right to go to war with Britain ?Give two reasons why .
bezimeni [28]

Answer:When James Madison (served 1809–1817) became president in early 1809, he also sought to avoid war with Britain. But British actions, and a continuing drumbeat for war in the U.S. Congress, seemed destined to make make a new war with Britain unavoidable. The slogan "Free Trade and Sailor's Rights" became a rallying cry.
