Answer:

Check bolded below

Step-by-step explanation:

1)radius = 10 in (given), diameter = 2*radius = 2(10 in) = 20 in

formula for circumference => 2πr => 2π(10)

circumference = 20π in

2)diameter = 12 ft (given), radius = 1/2*diameter = 1/2(12 ft) = 6 ft

formula for circumference => 2πr => 2π(6)

circumference = 12π ft

3)radius = 3 m (given), diameter = 2*radius = 2(3 m) = 6 m

formula for circumference => 2πr => 2π(3)

circumference = 6π m

4)diameter = 18 cm (given), radius = 1/2*diameter = 1/2(18 cm) = 9 cm

formula for circumference => 2πr => 2π(9)

circumference = 18π cm

1.

radius = 10 in

diameter = 10 × 2 = 20 in

formula = π × d

circumference = π × 20 = 62.83 in

2.

radius = 12 ÷ 2 = 6 ft

diameter = 12 ft

formula = π × d

circumference = π × 12 = 37.70 ft

3.

radius = 3 m

diameter = 3 × 2 = 6 m

formula = π × d

circumference = π × 6 = 18.85 m

4.

radius = 18 ÷ 2 = 9 cm

diameter = 18 cm

formula = π × d

circumference = π × 18 = 56.55 cm

disa [49]

Freya begins started with 200 yards.

Freya then increased her distance by adding five yards a day for two days.

x = 200 + (n - 1)5.

[x = The distance Freya sprints on day 21]

x = 200 + (21 - 1)5

x = 200 + (20) 5 = 300 yards

I am so confused and im really struggling and this is the only question i need
icang [17]

A polynomial of degree 3 has exactly 3 solutions if we use complex numbers. If the polynomial has real coefficients and z is a complex solution, i.e., p(z)=0, the conjugate is also a solution: p(\overline{z})=0

So, in the first case, if we know that 1-i is a solution, the conjugate 1+i must be a solution as well.

So, we know all the roots: -5, 1+i, 1-i.

When you know the solutions x_1,\ x_2,\ldots,\ x_n of a polynomial, you can write the polynomial (up to multiples) as

p=(x-x_1)(x-x_2)\ldots(x-x_n)

So, in your case, we have

p(x) = (x+5)(x-1-i)(x-1+i) = x^3+3x^2-8x+10

You can check that indeed p(0)=10, because the constant term is 10, so, we're ok with this

The second exercise is exactly the same: the solutions -6, i, -i identify the polynomial

p(x)=(x+6)(x-i)(x+i)=x^3+6x^2+x+6

In this case, P(-3)=30, so if we want P(-3)=60 we have to multiply everything by 2:

p(x)=2x^3+12x^2+2x+12

What transformation is represented by the rule (x, y)→(x, y+3) ?
dezoksy [38]
Notice that x remains x, so the translation is not right or left.
y becomes y + 3. You add 3 to each y-coordinate, so the translation is 3 units up.

Line CD passes through points (0, 2) and (4, 6). Which equation represents line CD?
Serjik [45]
Y = x +2

You would find this by finding the slope first. Slope is (y2 - y1) / (x2-x1) = (6-2) / (4-0) or 4/4 = 1. the slope is 1. From the point (0, 2) you can tell that the y intercept is 2. Therefore you get the equation y = x+2
