A scientist compares two samples of white powder. One powder was present at the beginning of an experiment. The other powder was

present at the end. She wants to determine whether a chemical reaction has occurred. She finds that neither sample bubbles or dissolves in water. She measures the mass and volume of the solids. Sample one has a volume of 45 cm3 and a mass of 0.5 g. Sample two has a volume of 65 cm3 and a mass of 1.3 g. What should the scientist conclude?
A.
The samples have the same color, so no chemical reaction has occurred.
B.
The two samples do not react with water, so no chemical reaction has occurred.
C.
The densities of the samples are different, so a chemical reaction has occurred.
D.
The densities of the samples are the same, so no chemical reaction has occurred.
E.
The densities of the samples are different, so no chemical reaction has occurred.

Solve for v<br>negative 38= v/2
Nadusha1986 [10]

- 38 =  \frac{v}{2}

\text{Multiply by 2 on both sides,  }

2 \times ( - 38) =  \frac{v}{ \cancel{2}}  \times  \cancel{2} \\  \\  \\  \\  =  >  - 76 = v \times 1 \\  \\  \\  =  >  - 76 = v

So, value of v is - 76

The rock below is in Whistler, Canada. What type of weathering is illustrated here?
MArishka [77]
Weathering is the process by which rocks are broken down into smaller particles as a result of physical and chemical changes that are occurring in them. There are three major types of weathering these are: physical, chemical and biological weathering.
For the question given above, the type of weathering that is occurring in the picture of the given rock is PHYSICAL WEATHERING.
Physical weathering is the type of weathering in which the affected rock is changed in size and shape by means of some agents. The broken particles are usually of the same composition as the parent rock. The agents of physical weathering include: ice, plant roots, animal activities, abrasion and exfoliation. Physically weathered rocks are usually round in shape as a result of the abrasion process which they have undergone.<span />
