Money raised will benefit a summer camp for children with special needs. The admission charge is $10.00 per person, $5.50 of which is used to pay the movie theater’s rental fee. The remainder is donated to the summer camp fund.. . If the maximum capacity of the movie theater is 500 people, what is the maximum amount that can be donated? So the questions ask to write an equations that shows how much money will be donated and then solve. So let Y be the amount of money and X will be the number of people attending. So the equation would be y=(10-5.5)X so the answer would be Y=2250. I hope you are satisfied with my answer and feel free to ask for more

Answer:

y=4.5 x

Step-by-step explanation:

Given : You are organizing a fund-raiser at the neighborhood movie theater. Money raised will benefit a summer camp for children with special needs. The admission charge is $10.00 per person, $5.50 of which is used to pay the movie theater’s rental fee. The remainder is donated to the summer camp fund.. .

To Find :  what is the maximum amount that can be donated? Write an equation that shows how much money will be donated and then solve.

Solution :

Let y be the amount  that can be donated

Let x be the no. of people

Since we are given that The admission charge is $10.00 per person, $5.50 of which is used to pay the movie theater’s rental fee

Thus remainder on each ticket is (10-5.50)

Since there are x persons

So, remaining amount will be (the amount that can be donated ) :

y = (10-5.50)x

y=4.5x

Hence the required equation is y=4.5 x

Since the maximum capacity is 500

So, y=4.5 *500 =2250

Thus the amount can be donated = $2250

If l an m are parallel. Find the value of x and y
Svetllana [295]
(8y + 17) = (6x - 7)

(3x -29) + (6x -7) = 180
9x -36 = 180
9x = 216
x = 24

(8y + 17) = (6x - 7)
8y + 17 = 6(24) - 7
8y + 17 = 144 -7
8y = 120
y = 15

I hope this helps!! (and hope it’s correct hahah :))
