To a large extent, I agree with this statement. Some statements made by Curley's wife revealed how lonely she was at the ranch. Example;

"I never get to talk to nobody. I get awful lonely."

As the only woman in the ranch she felt isolated and lonely because the men would not speak to her.

Explanation:

In Mice and Men, Curley's wife was the only woman whose character was quite pronounced in the text. She worked in the ranch along with so many other men. Because of her loneliness, Curley's wife sought to interact with the men in the ranch but they would give her no attention.

In fact, they avoided her and called her a 'jailbait' because they believed that she will incur them the wrath of her husband who was violent in nature. The reader can thus sympathize with the situation Curley's wife found herself.
