Answer:

fad diets, fasting/starvation diets, laxatives.

Explanation:

Fad diets: They are diets with miraculous promises, without any scientific proof, with amazing factors and that is not done through any professional monitoring and without the practice of exercises. It is very dangerous, because in addition to not promoting a lasting slimming, it can leave the body weak, malnourished, tired, dehydrated, with loss of lean mass, in addition, it can cause cardiovascular diseases and even increase cholesterol and sugar in the blood.

fasting / starvation diets: These are diets that state that you must spend a long period of time without eating anything to lose weight. This period comprises a time interval between 12 and 36 hours a day. This type of diet promotes weight loss, but the health costs are many. First of all, this weight loss is not long lasting, in addition, the body will store as much fat as possible to prevent the loss of energy, the metabolism of this person will slow down and hinder an efficient and healthy weight loss. In addition, the individual will present malnutrition, dehydration, vitamin deficiency, weakness, tiredness and even pain.

Laxatives: These are diets with the use of teas or medications with a laxative effect. This diet is dangerous because when these substances are taken frequently they can cause serious damage to the intestinal anatomy. This is because these diets promote the loss of fluids through feces and not fat loss, however this liquid can be functional for the intestine, its lack can cause inflammation and even cancer.

People who practice fasting on a regular basis, such as those adhering to energy restricted diets, can prime their bodies to abstain from food while reducing the amount of muscle burned. the risk:
However, you should be aware that most medical experts and dietitians warn against the practice of fasting for weight loss. It has been proven that prolonged fasting is not an effective way to lose weight, and it can also be detrimental to your health.... laxatives laxatives are simply foods, medicines or certain compounds used to induce bowel movements. The specific way they do that is by absorbing water and creating a “bulk” in your colon, which then the body can easily “push out”, compared to pushing out a “non bulky”… well “item”. the risk: do not contribute to sustained weight loss and are not recommended to be used for controlling weight. Extensive laxative abuse can cause: Dehydration. Dehydration can cause weakness, blurry vision, fainting, kidney damage, and (in cases of severe dehydration) death.

Dr. Ramirez studies the effects of stress on pregnant mothers and how this stress may influence gender expression in their child
slavikrds [6]

Answer: Biological factors or influences such as genetic, biochemical factors on the gender.

Explanation: By way of definition,

the biopsychosocial model is a combined scientific model that looks at the interconnection between biology, psychology, and socio-environmental factors. The model specifically monitors how these aspects play a role in topics ranging from health and disease models to human development. This model was developed by George L. Engel in 1977. Though the biopsychosocial Model has received criticism about its limitations, but it continues to carry waves in the fields of psychology, health, medicine, and human development.

The biopsychosocial model explains the development of illness through the complex interaction of biological factors (genetic, biochemical, etc.), psychological factors (mood, personality, behavior, etc.) and social factors (cultural, familial, socioeconomic, medical etc.)

Engel clearly explained that the biomedical approach is flawed because the body alone does not contribute to illness. Instead, the individual mind (psychosocial model) plays a significant role in how an illness is caused and how it is treated. Engel suggested, a dialogue between the patient and the doctor in order to find the most effective treatment solution.

Engel felt the biopsychosocial model also allows physicians to better understand their patients' subjective view of their illness and suffering.

So from the question asked, Dr Ramirez idea of following the Psychosocial approach, will help him to understand his studies on the effects of stress on pregnant mothers and how this stress may influence gender expression in their children.
