Answer:

4 a + 2b = 360 ----->equation 1

a + b = 116 --------> equation 2

a = 64 °

b = 52°

Step-by-step explanation:

The sum of all of the internal angles would be 360°.  Since we have four "a"s and two "b"s, we have:

4a + 2b = 360

Then told that the largest internal angle of the parallelogram is 116 degrees, so:

a + b = 116

We now have a system of two equations and two unknowns.

I'll simplify the first equation by dividing both sides by 2, then multiplying the second equation by -1 to prepare for solving by elimination:

2a + b = 180

-a - b = -116

----------------------  Add the equations together to get:

a = 64°

Now we can solve for b:

a + b = 116

64 + b = 116

b = 52°

So the values of "a" and "b" are:

a = 64° and b = 52°

Hope this helped :)

Find the distance between the points (-5, -10) and (2, 4).
Novay_Z [31]
Ok, so I used the equation Y2 (4) - Y1 (-10) over X2 (2) -X1 (-5).
4 - -10 is 14 since if a minus sign is before a negative number, it becomes positive.
Same goes for 2 - -5. It is 7 since the minus sign is before the negative number. Final answer is 14/7 which can be simpflied to 2/1 since 14 divided by 7 =2. So the distance is 14\7, or 2\1.

The figure above shows a square inscribed in a rectangle.
Debora [2.8K]

Answer:

31 units ²

Step-by-step explanation:

Area of a rectangle = length × width

Length = 8 units

Width = 5 units

Area of a rectangle = length × width

= 8 units × 5 units

= 40 units ²

Area of of the blue square = length ²

Length = 3 units

Area of of the blue square = length ²

= (3 units) ²

= 9 units ²

Area of the orange colored part of the figure = Area of a rectangle - Area of of the blue square

= 40 units ² - 9 units ²

= 31 units ²

Area of the orange colored part of the figure = 31 units ²

How would you do this???
Kobotan [32]

Answer:

8.3 L/s

Step-by-step explanation:

To find the answer you need to find the slope also known as the rate of change. When you find slope it is always change in y over change in x.

\frac{399-150}{40-10}

Then simplify

\frac{249}{30}

Then divide to get your slope/average rate of change

\frac{249}{30} = 8.3
