If triangle is a right triangle we can use Pythagorean theorem, c^2=a^2+b^2
c=15, a=5, b=10
15^2=5^2+10^2
225=25+100
225=125
225 is not equal to 125 therefore, this triangle is not a right triangle.

Answer:

No, it is not a right triangle.

Step-by-step explanation:

Using the property of the right triangle, square root (5^2 + 10^2) = 5root(5), and it is not equal to 15, so it is not a right triangle.

What additional information would he need to prove the triangles are congruent using the Side-Angle-Side method?
garri49 [273]

Answer:

\angle A \cong \angle D

Step-by-step explanation:

Two ∆s can be considered to be congruent to each other using the Side-Angle-Side Congruence Theorem, if an included angle, and two sides of a ∆ are congruent to an included angle and two corresponding sides of another ∆.

∆ABC and ∆DEF has been drawn as shown in the attachment below.

We are given that \overline{AB} \cong \overline{DE} and also \overline{AC} \cong \overline{DF}.

In order to prove that ∆ABC \cong ∆DEF using the Side-Angle-Side Congruence Theorem, an included angle which lies between two known side must be made know in each given ∆s, which must be congruent accordingly to each other.

The included angle has been shown in the ∆s drawn in the diagram attached below.

Therefore, the additional information that would be need is:

\angle A \cong \angle D

In an exponential function, f(x)=b^x, b is not allowed to be 1 explain why this restriction exists?
suter [353]

That is because b to any power = 1,

1^1 = 1, 1^0 = 1   1^0.25 = 1 etc

Can someone please help me with this?
geniusboy [140]

Answer: B and D

Step-by-step explanation:

First, solve the terms inside of the parenthesis. As a general rule, whenever you multiply two terms that have the same base, you can add their exponents.

Applying this rule, the base in the problem is 6, and the exponents are 3 and -4. The sum of 3 and -4 leaves -1. Therefore, this is one of our solutions:

(6^-^1)^-^3

When you have an exponential term raised to another exponent, you can simply multiply the exponents. In the previous solution given above, multiply -1 and -3 to get 3. Therefore our second solution is:

6^3
