Answer:

x=2

y= -3

Step-by-step explanation:

3x+2y=0    2y=-3x, y=-3x/2

3x-15y=51

substitute y

3x-15(-3x/2)=51

3x+45x/2=51

multiply by 2

6x+45x=102

51x=102

x=2

y= -3

Answer:

x=2

y=-3

Step-by-step explanation:

Ok so....

Since this problem is practically set up all you have to do is solve it! So what i did was try to cancel both of the x's so that I am just left with the y. I subtract everything and end up with

17y = -51

Now, all you have to do is divide giving you the answer for y which is

y = -3

Next, you have to plug in the value of y to either the first equation or second equation in the question. I chose the first equation and once I plugged it in it looked like this.

3x - 6 = 0

Now, add 6 to both sides giving you

3x = 6

Now all you have to do is divide

x = 2

TAADAA!!!

If you want to check your answer if you're unsure just plug in both values to either the first equation or second equation in the original problem. Okay well have a good day!! :D

The source of bias that affected the confidence interval, but is not included among the sources covered by the margin of error is; Under coverage Bias

How to Identify the source of Bias?

The source of bias that affected the confidence interval, but is not included among the sources covered by the margin of error is; Under coverage Bias

The reason why I picked under coverage bias is because we see from the survey that they send a survey home with a random sample of students in the district. However, when the survey was not completed, calls are made to ensure responses are obtained from the parents of every selected student. Then the question is changed again.

Thus, it is clear that not all was captured and that is why we go with under coverage bias.

Answer: 1859.5 mini bears

Step-by-step explanation:

From the information given in the question,

10 mini bars = 12.1 grams

10 regular bars = 23.1 gram

1 super bear = 2250 grams

To eat enough mini bears to match the super bears, the number that it'll take will be:

Since 10 mini bars = 12.1 grams

1 mini bear = 12.1 grams / 10 = 1.21 gram

Since 1 super bear = 2250 grams, the number of mini bears needed to equate this will be:

= 2250/1.21

= 1859.5 mini bears

A casino features a game in which a weighted coin is tossed several times. The table shows the probability of each payout amount
kkurt [141]

Answer:

The expected payout of the game is $230.46.

Step-by-step explanation:

The given table is

Payout Amount :    $160       $4400      $145000

Probability         :    0.146       0.024          0.0007

We need to find the expected payout of the game.

The formula for expected payout is

\text{Expected payout}=\sum n_iP(x_i)

where, n is amount and P(x) is probability of that event. The value of n is negative for loss.

Using the above formula we get

\text{Expected payout}=160\times 0.146+4400\times 0.024+145000\times 0.0007

\text{Expected payout}=23.36+105.6+101.5

\text{Expected payout}=230.46

Therefore the expected payout of the game is $230.46.
