Answer:

He made a mistake in the second line.

Step-by-step explanation:

He factored out x out of 6-2x and 5+4x, which is not possible because there is not an x in both 6 and 5.

Answer:

58 ft

Step-by-step explanation:

So I attached a diagram that illustrates the triangle that is formed. We know an angle, as well as the hypotenuse. We are looking for the height, or in other words the opposite side of the angle. There is a trigonometric function defined as: sin(\theta) = \frac{opposite}{hypotenuse}. Using this we can plug in known values and solve for the opposite side, which I'll simply represent as x.

sin(46) = \frac{x}{80}

Multiply both sides by 80

sin(46) * 80 = x

Calculate sin(46) using a calculator (make sure it's in degree mode)

0.7193398 * 80 = x

Simplify

57.547 \approx x

Round this to the nearest foot

58 \approx x

How would you solve this?
butalik [34]
Hello,

I suppose as we don't see correctely the 2nd image, that it is the first one.

Angles DOY and DKY intersept then same arc are equals.

5x+15=3x+21
==>2x=6
==>x=3 and 5x+15=5*3+15=30°, 3x+21=3*3+21=30°
Angle OYK=15x=15*3=45°
Angle ODK=9x+18=9*3+18=45° =Angle OYK which intersept the same arc.

What is the perimeter of a half circle with a radius 22cm .round your answer to the nearest whole number
Korolek [52]

Answer:

113.115 cm

Step-by-step explanation:

Formula:

C = 2πr

Given:

Radius: 22 cm

Diameter: 44 cm

The perimeter of a semicircle is the sum of half of the circumference of the circle and its diameter.

Simply plug in your numbers to find the circumference first.

C = 2π(22)

C = 44π cm or 138.23 cm

Then, divide the circumference in half, and add your diameter.

Perimeter = (44π/2) + 44 = 113.115 cm

8v + 8b = 240
4v + b = 54....multiply by -2
-------------------
8v + 8b = 240
-8v - 2b = - 108 (result of multiplying by -2)
------------------add
6b = 132
b = 132/6
b = 22 <== buses hold 22 students

4v + b = 54
4v + 22 = 54
4v = 54 - 22
4v = 32
v = 32/4
v = 8 <== vans hold 8 students
