So first Pedro gets $42

then Tessa gets <u>x</u> dollars mowing.  

And it says Pedro gets 3 times as much as Tessa    

therefore the equation shall be>>>>>>  x∙3=$42

Now we do: 42 / 3 = 14

<em>X= 14</em>
