The easiest way to solve this is to work with two equations:

<span>X + 4000Y = $5000  (1)</span>

<span>X + 2000Y = $4000  (2)</span>

Where X is the fixed portion of the water bill and Y is the cost of water per car.

Solve for X for each equation:

<span>X = $5000 – 4000Y  (3)</span>

<span>X = $4000 – 2000Y  (4)</span>

Therefore:

$5000 – 4000Y = $4000 – 2000Y (5)

Solve for Y:

Y = $0.5

Substitute into equation1:

X + 4000(0.5) = $5000

<span>X = $3000</span>

Stolb23 [73]

Answer:

92.86%

Explanation:

Debt-to-income ratio is a comparison or personal debts against income.  It is used to assess an individual ability to accommodate more debts.

The formula for for calculating Debt to income is

Debt to income is   <u> Total of Monthly Debt Payments  </u>

    Gross Monthly Income

For Affan, Total debts are $450 + $375 + $50+ $100 =$ 975

Gross income is not given , we use net income which is $1,050

Debt to income ration =  $975/$1050

=  0.92857 x 100

= 92.86%

You find the following Treasury bond quotes. To calculate the number of years until maturity, assume that it is currently May 20
Zarrin [17]

Answer:

$1,247.12

Explanation:

For computing the asked price we need to apply the present value formula i.e to be shown in the attachment below

Given that,

Future value = $1,000

Rate of interest = 4.151% ÷ 2 = 2.076%

NPER = 17 years  × 2 = 34 years

The 20 years come from May 2019 to May 2036

PMT = $1,000 × 6.193% ÷ 2 = $30.965

The formula is shown below:

= -PV(Rate;NPER;PMT;FV;type)

So, after applying the above formula, the present value or the ask price is $1,247.12
