A clock is really just a circle, and a circle has 360 degrees in total. If we divide that by 12, which is how many hours there are on the clock, we get 30. Therefore, every hour represents 30 degrees of the 360. If we divide 105 by 30, we will get 3 and some remainder. This means that if the hour hand is at 12, then the minute hand has to be farther than the 3.

The remainder is 15, which is half of 30 so the minute hand would be halfway between the 3 and the 4, meaning the time would be 12:17, 30 seconds. Hope this helps!

What is the number of diagonals that intersect at a given vertex of a hexagon, heptagon, 30-gon and n-gon?
DENIUS [597]

Answer:

i. 9

ii. 14

iii. 405

iv. \frac{n(n-3)}{2}

Step-by-step explanation:

The number of diagonals in a polygon of n sides can be determined by:

\frac{n(n-3)}{2}

where n is the number of its sides.

i. For a hexagon which has 6 sides,

number of diagonals = \frac{6(6-3)}{2}

                                   = \frac{18}{2}

                                   = 9

The number of diagonals in a hexagon is 9.

ii. For a heptagon which has 7 sides,

number of diagonals = \frac{7(7-3)}{2}

                                   = \frac{28}{2}

                                   = 14

The number of diagonals in a heptagon is 14.

iii. For a 30-gon;

number of diagonals = \frac{30(30-3)}{2}

                                          = \frac{810}{2}

                                         = 405

The number of diagonals in a 30-gon is 405.

iv. For a n-gon,

number of diagonals = \frac{n(n-3)}{2}

The number of diagonals in a n-gon is \frac{n(n-3)}{2}

Use circle C<br><br> classify arc MNO in circle C
inna [77]

Answer:

Semicircle

Step-by-step explanation:

As we can see, the arc is bounded by the chord MO

since the chord passes through the center of the circle, we have it that the chord is a diameter

Mathematically, an arc bounded by a diameter represents half of a circle

So we can conclude that the arc MNO in circle C is a semicircle
