Why can mass bleaching wipe out the whole ecosystem

Since the earth warms because of global warming bleach massing does the same thing as the seas get warmer so can coral bleaching because it has the potential of wiping out the ecosystems because as wildlife comes coral mass can’t find food so they move away or die creating barren underwater landscapes.
