8.Which of the following is NOT true regarding reapportionment? *
Alinara [238K]

Answer: It means the same as the term gerrymandering

Explanation:

Reapportionment is the process that is used to determine the number of House of Representative seats a state gets. The House of Representatives gives more seats to states that have a higher population so every 10 or so years, Reapportionment happens based on changes in population.

Gerrymandering on the other hand is the corrupt practice of manipulating district boundaries so that a party's supporters can be in the majority in the created district which would ensure that the party's candidate gets voted for.

How and why did American Indians both adapt some aspects of European culture and resist European attempts to change their values
Dennis_Churaev [7]
Many of them assimilated and learned the language and started behaving like Europeans because they believed that it was the best thing to do, many even adopted Christianity. On the other hand, they didn't want to lose their identity so they fought. They wanted to live freely according to their laws and didn't want to have their land taken away and for European laws to be imposed upon them. They adopted systems like trading and using money but they tried to stick to their roots.
