The coordinates of L and M are (3, 6) and (9, 8) respectively. X is the mid-point of LM, determine the coordinate of the point X
chubhunter [2.5K]
The formula is (x1+x2)/2 will give you the x of the mid point.

(y1+y2)/2 will give you the y of the mid point.

So, (3+9)/2= 6
And (6+8)/2=7

The mid point is (6:7)

In the diagram shown, line mm is parallel to line nn. Cruz says that ∠4∠4 and ∠6∠6 are congruent angles. Is he correct? Why or w
ivanzaharov [21]
Well both a and b are correct  because angles 4,6, and 7 are all congruent.
4 and 6 are alternate interior angles, 4 and 7 are corresponding angles, and 6 and 7 are vertical angles all equaling the same degree. so i would go with B only because it backs it up with proof and a is just an observation.

Describe the position of the polar coordinates on the polar plane for (4,120).
Otrada [13]
Clearly r=4 corresponds to a point on the fourth "circle" in the plane. \theta=120^\circ is a rotation of 120 degrees counter-clockwise relative to the positive side of the horizontal axis, which corresponds to a clockwise turn of 360 - 120 = 240 degrees.

This means (C) is the answer.

rewona [7]

Answer: Similar figures are always the same shape, but not the same size. They have equal angles but not equal side lengths. Check out a big square and a small square. They're both squares because they have four sides and four equal angles, but the sides aren't the same length.
