The correct ansser to this open question is the following.

Although there are no options attached, we can say the following.

The economy of the early civilizations of Latin America was known as the economy in Mesoamerican times.

Latin America is a huge portion of territory, so we are going to focus on Mesoamerica, the region of Central to South México, and on the Inca Empire in South America(modern-day Peru).

The economy of the civilizations such as the Toltecs, the Olmecs, the Aztecs, and the Mayas was based on agriculture. These Mesoamerican people were excellent agricultures. The same happened in the Inca Empire.

These people did not have a formal currency in the form of coins. They traded using barter to exchange their products, most of them using corn as a way to measure the value of the exchange.

They grew many crops such as corn, beans, and other vegetables and fruits. They traded with other regions and used water canals to transport their products. They also were good hunters and fishers.
