Jason and Adam are using a kit to build their own electronics board for a computer project. They use a scale drawing included in

the instructions to help build the board. Jason will use the scale factor to find the board's actual length and width, then multiply those dimensions to find the board's area. Adam says he knows another way. Answer the questions to show how Adam could find the area of the scale drawing, and then use this strategy to find the area of the electronics board. 1. What is the area of the board shown on the scale drawing? Explain how you found the area. Write your answer in the space below. 2. How can Adam use the scale factor to find the area of the actual electronics board? Remember, he uses a different method than Jason. Write your answer in the space below. 3. What is the area of the actual electronics board? Write your answer in the space below.

Answer:

1. Area is 1800 cm. I found this out by multiplying 36 and 50 together.

2. He can figure out that the scale factor 5:1 means that 1 cm in the drawing is 0.2 cm in reality, so he would take 36 and 50 and multiply them both by 0.2 cm then add them to get 17.2, which is the actual area of the rectangle.

3. Actual area is 17.2

Step-by-step explanation:

Really hope this helps! also I dont know if this is correct, this is just what I got in my little peanut brain, so yeah, again, hope this helps.

olga_2 [115]

Answer:

the first option

Step-by-step explanation:

solution:

distance: d=1/4 lc (because is a quarter of a circle)

length of the circumference: lc=2 pi r

pi: constant=3.14

radius of the circle: r=80 feet

replacing pi and r in the formula of lc:

lc=2 pi r

lc=2 (3.14) (80 feet)

lc=502.4 feet

replacing lc in the formula of d:

d=1/4 lc

d=1/4 (502.4 feet)

d=502.4/4 feet

d=125.6 feet
