The length of two sides of a triangle are 10, 15 find the range of possible lengths for the third side

5 0

Answer:

Range for third side is

( 5 , 25 )  cm.

Step-by-step explanation:

As two sides of triangle are  10  and  15 ,

the third side would have to be less than the sum of other two sides i.e. less than  25  cm.

On the other hand if it is smaller one than this side plus side of length  10

should be greater than  15  and therefore

this side is greater than  15 − 10 = 5  cm.

Hence range is

( 5 , 25 )

Hope this answer helps you :)

Have a great day

Plzzzzzzzz! A suitcase lock has a code 4 symbols long. The symbols on the lock are a star, a square, a circle, a triangle, a lin
34kurt

Answer:

                \dfrac{1}{30}

Step-by-step explanation:

6 symbols and 4-symbol code so number of combinations wich doesn't contain the same symbol twice would be:

6•5•4•3 = 360

If code starts with a star followed by triangle that means only one posibility for first two symbols and code doesn't containing the same symbol twice means that left 4 symbols for next two.

So number of combinations of code starting with a star followed by triangle and doesn't containing the same symbol twice will be:

1•1•4•3 = 12

The probability that a randomly chosen code starts with a star followed by triangle and doesn't contain the same symbol twice:

\dfrac{1\cdot1\cdot4\cdot3}{6\cdot5\cdot4\cdot3}=\dfrac{1\cdot1}{6\cdot5}=\dfrac{1}{30}

Two towns that are 31.5km aprt are 3cm apart on a map what is the scale of the map
mel-nik [20]
3 cm on the map represents 31.5 km in reality.

3cm : 31.5 km

1cm :  31.5/3 km

1cm : 10.5km

So the scale on the map is 1cm represents 10.5 km.

Catron evaluates the expression (negative 9) (2 and two-fifths) using the steps below.
Vlad [161]

Answer:

Catron's error is

"She did not follow order of operations"

Step-by-step explanation:

Catron evaluates the expression (negative 9) (2 and two-fifths)

That expression can be written as below

(-9)(2\frac{2}{5})

Catron's error is

"She did not follow order of operations"

The corrected steps are

Step1: Given expression is (-9)(2\frac{2}{5})

Step2: Convert mixed fraction into improper fraction

(-9)(2\frac{2}{5})=(-9)(\frac{12}{5})

Step3: Multiplying the terms

(-9)(2\frac{2}{5})=-7\frac{-108}{5}

Therefore solution (-9)(2\frac{2}{5})=-7\frac{-108}{5}

100 POINTS!!! VERY URGENT
Marta_Voda [28]

Answer:

<u>D) (f o g)(x) = 10x² - 60x + 93</u>

Step-by-step explanation:

f(x) = 10x² + 3

g(x) = x - 3

⇒ (f o g)(x)

⇒ f(x - 3)

⇒ f(x - 3) = 10(x - 3)² + 3

⇒ f(x - 3) = 10(x² - 6x + 9) + 3

⇒ f(x - 3) = 10x² - 60x + 90 + 3

⇒ <u>(f o g)(x) = 10x² - 60x + 93</u>
