steposvetlana [31]

Answer:

Mix scraps of meat (the older, the better) with something sweet (see list below). Lots of people swear by using rotten fish or shrimp, which probably work best because they smell so much. Bait for Fruit Flies: Use fruit (the riper, the better), apple cider vinegar, fruit juice, syrup, wine, beer, or any combination.

The sodium-potassium pump is involved in active transport that moves 3 sodium ions from the cell for every 2 potassium ions it m
Ugo [173]

Answer:

The sodium-potassium pump is an active transporter because it needs to move sodium and potassium ions against the concentration gradient.

Explanation:

You have to think of it as outside vs inside the cell.

Outside the cell, you have 5mM K and 150mM Na. Inside the cell, you have 100mM K and 10mM sodium. Without the transporter then the ions would go from greater concentration to lower concentration.  Energy keeps the ions going from the way they would naturally happen.

As limiting factors, how do disease differ from a forest fires?
Fofino [41]

Answer:

When diverse molecules and objects are brought together, they generate a chemical, which causes sickness. Forest fires can occur spontaneously or as a result of human activity. Natural factors include severe droughts and a lack of precipitation. Campfires or the usage of a flare gun can be used to create man-made causes.
