Why do some historians believe that the rise of Islam brought an end to the Kingdom of Axum?

Answer: They believe that Axum lost control of the Red Sea and coastal areas to the growing Islamic Empire.

Explanation:

The Kingdom of Aksum, located in the Horn of Africa, was said to be so powerful by the Muslims that it was on par with China, the Byzantine empire and the expanding Islamic state.

As Islam spread however, the Kingdom of Aksum declined even though this was not initially the case. Aksum and the Muslims were once on good terms until relationships gradually became so bad that the Muslims took over the trade routes in the Red sea as well as coastal areas that once belonged to the kingdom.

This caused the Kingdom to flee inland for safety where they continued their decline till their demise.

A ________ yield curve predicts a future increase in inflation. A. steeply upward sloping B. slight upward sloping C. downward
sesenic [268]

Answer:

A. steeply upward sloping

Explanation:

According to my research on Economy Charts, A steeply upward sloping yield curve predicts a future increase in inflation. This is because the bottom of the chart usually indicates the length of time or unemployment rate while the right or left of the chart indicates inflation rate. As time goes forward the curve would need to be steeply sloping upward in order to show an increase in inflation.

Dima020 [189]

Answer:

Special donors

Explanation:

A libertarian group wants to lobby Congress for legislation to reduce the minimum wage, arguing that it will create more jobs. Realizing that it lacks the resources to successfully form a lobbying organization, this group gets in touch with a big-box chain of stores, which stands to benefit from being able to offer lower wages to its employees and is therefore willing to bankroll the groups lobbying efforts. This group has solved its problem by relying on special donors. Special donors are individuals or organizations who support a lobbying activity by providing funds and other forms of supports because they have a special interest in the outcome of the lobbying activity, the lobbying activity will affect them if it turns out positive, they have special interest they are trying to promote.

A(n) ________ warrant is issued based on probable cause to believe that evidence of a crime, while not currently at the place de
Keith_Richards [23]

Answer:

Anticipatory.

Explanation:

An anticipatory warrant is issued based on probable cause to believe that evidence of a crime, while not currently at the place described, will likely be there when the warrant is executed.

The Fourth Amendment provides police officers the right to search any person through the provisions of an anticipatory warrant. The anticipatory warrant is a search warrant based on a affidavit which expresses that possible evidence of a crime will likely occur at a specified place at some point of time in the future.

The anticipatory warrant is issued as a way to enhance the police force in persecuting the suspects from possessing contraband items. Normally search warrants are not executed unless specific illegal possessions have been recovered from a person, therefore, anticipatory warrants are issued to apprehend or stop the crime from occurring based on probable cause.
