Step-by-step explanation:

It is multiplication property of equality. The goal is to get d by itself so what we do here is basically a process of

5d=75\\\\5d/5=75/5\\\\d=15

Answer:

Division property of equality...

Step-by-step explanation:

The person above me was close, and they were right about the process of getting 15, but it is not multiplication property of equality.

Proof:

1. You have to undo what has been done to find out d, the variable that we are solving for. In other words, we're simply solving for x.

2. You can't undo the multiplication by doing more multiplication.

3. Given: 5d=75, and by doing inverse operations, you flip it around to:

75 ÷ 5 = d. this is the division property of equality because we're doing the opposite of multiplication to solve for d, and we're undoing the multiplication.

4. Do the math, or use a calculator to find what 75 divided by 5 is.

5. The answer is 15, so 15 = d.

Therefore,

It is "D," division property of equality.

The arithmetic sequence a_ia i a, start subscript, i, end subscript is defined by the formula: a_1 = 15a 1 =15a, start subsc
daser333 [38]

Answer:

-1,512,390

Step-by-step explanation:

Given

a1 = 15

a_i = a_{i-1} -7

Let us generate the first three terms of the sequence

a_2 = a_{2-1}-7\\a_2 = a_1 - 7\\a_2 = 15-7\\a_2 = 8

For a_3

a_3 = a_{3-1}-7\\a_3 = a_2 - 7\\a_3 = 8-7\\a_3 = 1

Hence the first three terms ae 15, 8, 1...

This sequence forms an arithmetic progression with;

first term a = 15

common difference d = 8 - 15 = - -8 = -7

n is the number of terms = 660 (since we are looking for the sum of the first 660 terms)

Using the formula;

S_n = \frac{n}{2}[2a + (n-1)d]\\

Substitute the given values;

S_{660} = \frac{660}{2}[2(15) + (660-1)(-7)]\\S_{660} = 330[30 + (659)(-7)]\\S_{660} = 330[30 -4613]\\S_{660} = 330[-4583]\\S_{660} = -1,512,390

Hence the sum of the first 660 terms of the sequence is  -1,512,390

I don't know the answer please help
KatRina [158]
I had this question today. I believe its either D or C, but my friend told me it was D. So, I think it's D. I hoped if this helped you or not. If you get it wrong Im very sorry so it would've been C.

Nancy walk 50 Minutes each day for 4 Days last week Gullian walked 35 minutes each day for 6 days last week.How does the total n
Gre4nikov [31]

Answer:

Last week Gullian walked 10 minutes more than Nancy.

Step-by-step explanation:

1. Nancy walk 50 minutes each day for 4 days last week, then the total number of minutes Nancy walked is

50\cdot 4=200\ \text{minutes}.

2. Gullian walked 35 minutes each day for 6 days last week, then the total number of minutes Gullian walked is

35\cdot 6=210\ \text{minutes}.

3. Since 200 than last week Gullian walked 10 minutes more than Nancy.

Answer:

  • C. Area 3

Step-by-step explanation:

<h3>The first line</h3>
  • Line x - y > 5 ⇒ y < x - 5

<u>This line has positive slope and the y-intercept is -5, shaded area is below the line, covers the areas:</u>

  • Area 3 and Area 4
<h3>The second line</h3>
  • Line x + 2y < -6 ⇒ 2y < - x - 6 ⇒ y < -1/2x - 3

<u>This line has negative slope and the y-intercept is -3, shaded are is below the line, covers the areas:</u>
