Answer: 36 square centimeters

Step-by-step explanation: Hey there! Let's cut the shape in half horizontally. 6 times 4 for the top portion is 24 square centimeters. We subtract 6 cm from the top by 2 cm from the lower part to get the length of the bottom rectangle. We do 4 times 3 for the area of the bottom rectangle which is 12 square centimeters. Finally, we add 24 sq cm and 12 sq cm to get 36 square centimeters. (I tried my best!)

A study of king penguins looked for a relationship between how deep the penguins dive to seek food and how long they stay underw
Serggg [28]

Answer:

b = 0.0138

Step-by-step explanation:

Given

Regression Equation:

DD=2.69+0.0138D

Required

Determine the slope of the regression line

The equation of regression is of the form

Y =  a + bX

Where b represents the slope;

Compare Y = a + bX to the given equation

DD=2.69+0.0138D

We have that:

Y = DD

a = 2.69

b = 0.0138

X = D

Hence; the slope is:

b = 0.0138

Quick math question ghghghujhghj
yawa3891 [41]

\text{Hey there!}

\bf{3(4x + 1) - (5x + 7)}

\text{FIRST: distribute the NEGATIVE sign}\text{(On the RIGHT side of the problem/equation)}

\bf{-1 (5x + 7)}

\bf{-1(5x) + -1(7)}

\bf{-1(5x) = -5x}

\bf{-1(7) = -7}

\bf{\underline{= -5x - 7}}

\text{SECOND: distribute the LEFT side of the problem/equation}

\bf{3(4x+1)}

\bf{3(4x) + 3(1)}

\bf{3(4x) = 12x}

\bf{3(1) = 3}

\bf{\underline{12x+3}}

\text{THIRD: make the new equation}

\text{Equation becomes: \bf{12x + 3 - 5x - 7}}

\text{FOURTH: COMBINE your like terms}

\bf{(12x - 5x) + (3 - 7)}

\bf{12x  - 5x  = 7x}

\bf{3 - 7 = -4}

\text{ANSWER}

\boxed{\text{Thus, your answer is: \boxed{\huge\text{\bf7x - 4}}}}}\checkmark

\text{Good luck on your assignment and enjoy your day!}

Which statement BEST explains the relationship between lines GF & HJ?
Pavel [41]

Answer:

Option (4)

Step-by-step explanation:

Slope a line passing through two points (x_1,y_1) and (x_2,y_2) is given by,

m = \frac{y_2-y_1}{x_2-x_1}

Since, blue line is passing through two points (-4, -2) and (0, 4),

Slope of the blue line = \frac{4+2}{0+4}

                                    = \frac{3}{2}

Similarly, green line is passing through two points (-4, 1) and (0, -2),

Slope of the green line = \frac{1+2}{-4-0}

                                       = -\frac{3}{4}

Since, \frac{3}{2}\neq -\frac{3}{4}

Neither these slopes are opposite reciprocals.

Therefore, both the lines are neither parallel nor perpendicular.

Option (4) will be the correct option.
