Well, I can only think of one example and that would be certain medications. Usually medications are tested in mice (it diverted a few years earlier, but still share over 90% of genetic similarity). You have to follow the scientific method to test the effectiveness of such to treat and/or prevent certain disorders. Faulty or incomplete testing is highly unlikely, for the scietific community today is very thorough during the experimentation process; however, there has been certain medications that have resulted in severe secondary or side effects. For example steroids.. Steroids are helpful in the treatment of allergic reactions or other autoimmune diseases; however, it has been shown (in horses as well as in humans) that it reduces fertility by lowering testosterone concentrations in the blood plasma and it slows down its production. Low testosterone results in decreased counts of sperm and abnormal morphology of the cells. Other problems include liver problems and hypercholesterolemia.
