Inflammation can be defined as a group of protective immune responses against pathogens, irritant substances and/or tissue damage. Inflammation includes diverse physiological processes such as swelling, heat, redness and loss of function. Inflammatory responses can be divided into chronic and acute inflammatory responses. Acute inflammation is considered the first immune response, which consists of the movement of white blood cells (i.e., leukocytes, in special granulocytes) from blood to the area of the injury.
Exercise is physical activity that requires planned structured repetitive movement. Fitness is the the body's ability to supply energy during continuous physical activities.
