Answer:

Gas makes things buoyant by making the volume of an object lighter than the surrounding fluid it is trying to displace.

Gas Buoyancy is useful in the following ways;

• Airships

• Steel ships and

• All floating and flying vessels

Explanation:

Buoyancy is the tendency of an object to float in a fluid such as air or water. It is a phenomenon that was theorized by the mathematician, Archimedes known as the Archimedes Principle.

It states that the upward buoyant force that is exerted on a body immersed in a fluid is equal to the weight of the fluid that the body displaces.

The principle explains the reason why objects float and fly.

So, when an object is immersed in a fluid, it can float due to the upward force exerted by the fluid on the object. But for this to happen, the object has to weigh less than the fluid it is displacing.

This is where the use of a gas comes into play.

Because the object may be heavier than the surrounding fluid it is trying to displace, it is filled with a large amount of gas (usually hydrogen and/or helium) which is lighter. This makes the volume of the gas and the object put together lighter than that of the surrounding air.

This is what causes objects to float or fly

There is justice and fairness in school
Marysya12 [62]
True, the justice in school would be sending a bully or someone who did something bad to the principals office, getting a referral, suspended, or expelled, the fairness is that if you saw the fight, and did t join it, you dont get any punishment since you did t take part in it.

Flexible tough material that makes up vertebrate skeletons or parts of
the system
larisa [96]

Answer:

Cartilage is the flexible, tough material that makes up vertebrate skeletons or parts of the skeletal system.

Explanation:

Cartilage is the part of skeletal system that acts as a connective tissue too. It is comprised of chondrocytes cell types (formed by chondrification) and produce collagen and proteoglycan. It provides elasticity and found in the rib cage, nose, ear, and in the Intervertebral discs. It is abundantly present in infants but at later growth stages, bone maturation process takes place which replaces/hardens the cartilage with hard bones.

How does an emerging idea differ from scientific consensus?
GenaCL600 [577]
Emerging idea only occurs as a raw idea that could appear out of nowhere. Meanwhile, to reach scientific consensus , that idea must be structured and tested over and over again through various experiments. The scientific consensus transforms the raw idea into idea that is more reliable through the process of scientific elimination
