4 teammates share 5 granola bars equally. How much of a bar dows each person get?
worty [1.4K]
So it would be 5 divided by four. You cannot do that, so the closest number you could get to is 4. Which means each teammate gets 1 granola bar. The sentence for that would be: 5 divided by 4 = 1 remainder 1.

MULTIPLE CHOICE A thermometer is
pav-90 [236]

The absolute value equation which could be used to obtain the greatest and least possible temperature values when the temperature reading is 17°F is (17 ± 2)°F

  • Thermometer accuracy = ±2°F
  • Thermometer reading = 17°F

<u>The least possible value of </u><u>temperature</u><u> </u><u>can</u><u> </u><u>be</u><u> </u><u>calculated</u><u> </u><u>thus</u> :

  • Thermometer reading - thermometer accuracy

  • 17 - 2 = 15°F

<u>The highest possible </u><u>temperature</u><u> </u><u>can</u><u> </u><u>be</u><u> </u><u>calculated</u> thus :

  • Themometer reading - thermometer accuracy

  • 17 + 2 = 19°F

Hence, the absolute value equation which represents the scenario is (17 ± 2)°F

Find the value of P such that 2 ^p sqrt 4 x 1/4
Sav [38]

Answer: p=-1

Step-by-step explanation:

To find the value of p, we can manipulate the right side so that it looks like the left.

We know that \sqrt{4}=2. Therefore, it can be written as 2¹.

\frac{1}{4} is the same as \frac{1}{2^2 } because 2²=4. To make it not a fraction, we can flip it and change the exponent. \frac{1}{4}=2^-^2

Now, we can put them together.

2^p=2^1*2^-^2         [multiply]

2^p=2^-^1

Now, we know that p=-1.
