Think of a change that can occur to an ecosystem and the populations that live in that area. In what ways can the different popu
Alex73 [517]

Answer:

There are several environmental factors that causes changes in the ecosystem and the population of that area such as invasive species, extreme weather, land use change, pollution and disease.

Lets take invasive species as environmental factor. Introduction of invasive species can cause a huge change in the ecosystem and affects the native population in that area. it increases the competition for food resources and decreases the survival rate of their preys.

For example: Water hyacinth (Eichhornia crassipes). It is an invasive plant species that has very bad impact of native population as well as other population, like it reduces biological diversity, oxygen loss, decreased phytoplankton productivity,  eliminate plants that animals use for nesting, and alter animal communities by blocking access to the water.

Thus invasive population can affect population by reducing biodiversity, water shortages, decreasing availability and quality of key natural resources, disturb the food chain and can cause natural calamities.

Invasive species affect the resources that native species are using and that decreases the carrying capacity of the native population as it disturbs the whole food chain.

adelina 88 [10]

A former meadow is turned into a housing complex, and the next year, fewer milkweed blooms are seen due to pollination.

What applications does milkweed have?

The herb has also been used medicinally despite the danger of poisoning. Many native cultures chewed the roots of milkweed to heal diarrhea and used the sap to remove warts. Infusions and salves were also made from it to treat asthma, coughing, fevers, rashes, and swelling.

What kind of soil is ideal for milkweed growth?

In regions with more rainfall, like the eastern United States, milkweed thrives. Asclepias tuberosa, sometimes known as butterfly weed, thrives in drier climates like those in the western United States. Sand or gravelly soils are required. The Clay variety is an anomaly since it thrives on heavier soils, especially dry clay. Plant under the intense sun.

Does heating a cup of water allow it to dissolve more sugar? The temperature of the water is measured in degrees Centigrade. The
kifflom [539]

Answer:

In this, the controlled variables are stirring and type of sugar. As more stirring might elevate the amount of sugar that dissolves, and different kind of sugars might dissolve in distinct concentrations. So, in order to make sure a fair test, there is a need to keep these variables similar for each cup of water.

Define energy and apply conservation of energy to closed systems.
sineoko [7]

Answer:

The law of conservation of energy is an important law of physics. Basically, it says that while energy can turn from one kind into another, the total amount of energy doesn't change. This law applies only to closed systems, meaning systems that can't exchange energy with their environment.
