Christianity was founded in the province of Judea, Middle East, Roman Empire. It was founded around Jesus, who is the prominent figure of the religion, and draws upon Judaism for background.

Christianity became a major religion soon after, spreading first to the surrounding lands, than too Greece, and finally to Asia Minor as well as Rome. During the reign of Constantine I, Christianity was legalized and instituted as the major religion of Rome, up until to the fall of the Roman Empire, and continues to influence Europe, even up to today.
