Enter the answer to the nearest tenth. Another home business has an average income of $1.200.00 per month with a standard deviat
Nonamiya [84]

Answer: -1.7

Step-by-step explanation:

Given : Another home business has an average income of $1.200.00 per month with a standard deviation of $100.00.

i.e.\mu=\$1200.0

\sigma=\$100.00

Let x represents the monthly income.

Since . z=\dfrac{x-\mu}{\sigma}

For x= 1030 , we have

z=\dfrac{1030-1200}{100}=-1.7

Hence, the required z-score = -1.7

Solve x2 – 10x + 25 = 35 for x.
Galina-37 [17]

x^2-10x+25=35\\\\x^2-2\cdot5\cdot x + 5^2=35\ \ \ |\text{use:}\ (a-b)^2=a^2-2ab+b^2\\\\(x-5)^2=35\to x-5=\pm\sqrt{35}\ \ \ |+5\\\\\boxed{x=5-\sqrt{35}\ \vee\ x=5+\sqrt{35}}

\text{other method}\\\\x^2-10x+25=35\\\\x^2-5x-5x+25=35\\\\x(x-5)-5(x-5)=35\\\\(x-5)(x-5)=35\\\\(x-5)^2=35\\.....

If you take 2 1/2 tablets of meds 3 times a day for 10 days, how many tablets in total have you taken?
Alisiya [41]
This is how I solved it.
2.5 multiplied by 3 is 7.5, which equals how many she takes a day.
Then I multiplied 7.5 by 10 = 75. I did that because the meds are taken for 10 days.
Also if you added 7.5 ten times is also 75.

So my final answer is that 75 tablets have been taken in total.
