Answer:

A number line is used in the mathematical positioning of real numbers that include the numbers from positive infinity to negative infinity. This includes rational, irrational, fractions, and whole numbers. In this case, we are given with an expression that we have to reduce to lowest terms: negative seven and one over two and +1. The first one is equal to -7.5 while the other one is equal to +1. Positive numbers lie on the right side of zero (center of the line) while negative numbers lie on the left on the other hand. -7.5 lies between -8 and -7 while +1 lies exactly between 0 and 2. Both of which are positive numbers.

How do i solve this ? :')
Vesna [10]
I think you are supposed to make the fraction equivalent so you know that 27/9 is 3, so you would do the same thing whatever number is supossed to be under 17 needs to equal to 2 when divided by 9. So you should probably know that 3 * 9 is 18 so x needs to be a number that when subtracted by 5 gives you 18. So x=23. Hope this is right and it helps!

Write an equation of a line in point-slope form with the
Ulleksa [173]

Answer: (y − 0) = -(1/6)(x − 6)  or y=-(1/6)(x-6)

Step-by-step explanation:

An equation in Point Slope form:  y − y1 = m(x − x1), where m is the slope and x1 and y1 are provided as a single point, (x1,y1).  We have slope(m) = -(1/6) and are given (6,0).  Therefore:

 (y − 0) = -(1/6)(x − 6)  (Point slope form)

y = -(1/6)(x-6)

Rewriting this into standard form, y = mx + b

y = -(1/6)x + 1

I need to solve for x using the pythagorean theorem some how (I think) please only answer if you can give a hint or the answer w
borishaifa [10]

\bf \textit{using the pythagorean theorem} \\\\ c^2=a^2+b^2\implies \sqrt{c^2-a^2}=b \qquad \begin{cases} c=\stackrel{hypotenuse}{\stackrel{3959+5.9}{3964.9}}\\ a=\stackrel{adjacent}{3959}\\ b=\stackrel{opposite}{x}\\ \end{cases} \\\\\\ \sqrt{3964.9^2-3959^2}=x\implies \sqrt{46751.01}=x\implies 216.22\approx x
