Wouldn’t it be 49? I’m not 100% sure because the question is a little confusing. I just found it by squaring seven because the square root of 49 is 7, and 7 is right between 6.9 and 7.1. Sorry if I’m wrong :)

y + 1 = 2(3)         ∵ 3 in (image side) is multiplied by 2

y + 1 = 6

y = 6 - 1

y = 5

So, the value of y = 5
