Answer:

#A

G (6,4)

I(3,2)

#B

2^2 + 3^2

4 + 3^2

4 + 9 = 13

13 = C^2

#C

Distance = Square root of (2-4)^2 + (3-6)^2

-2^2 + -3^2

-4 + -9 = -15

Square root of 15 not -15 which is 3.87

Rounded 3.87 = 3.9

Answer :Given : points G and I have coordinates (6,4) and (3,2)

To Find : Use  Pythagorean theorem  to calculate the straight line distance between points G and I

Solution:

points G and I have coordinates (6,4) and (3,2)

Draw a line parallel to y axis passing through G

Draw a line parallel to x axis passing through I

Intersection point K ( 6 , 2)

IK = 6 - 3 = 3

GK = 4 -2  = 2

ΔIKG right angled triangle

Pythagoras' theorem: square on the hypotenuse of a right-angled triangle is equal to the sum of the squares of the other two perpendicular sides.

GI² = IK² + GK²

=>  GI²  = 3² + 2²

=>  GI²  = 13

=> GI = √13

using distance formula

G (6,4) and I (3,2)

= √(6 - 3)² + (4 - 2)²

= √3² + 2²

= √9 + 4

= √13

AB&C: charges $0.20 per text message and $55 for 1,000 minutes of talk time per month. What is the equation for this problem
Luba_88 [7]

Answer:

$0.20*x + 55$

Step-by-step explanation:

x - is the number of  text messages

Since x the number of text messages it means that to get the amount of money a person will spend will be: $0.20 * x

And to get the final equation we will just need to add $0.20 + x to $55 =

$0.20 * x + $55

The product of two numbers is 70. If one of the numbers is 14/19 what is the other number
son4ous [18]
Let unknown number be x.

One number = \frac{14}{19}

Product = 70

\frac{14}{19} * x = 70

x = 70 *  \frac{19}{14}

x = 95

The other number is 95.
