How did Otto von Bismarck justify his opinion about future wars given his opinion about past wars?
Serjik [45]

Answer: Germany became a modern, unified nation under the leadership of the “Iron Chancellor” Otto von Bismarck (1815-1898), who between 1862 and 1890 effectively ruled first Prussia and then all of Germany. A master strategist, Bismarck initiated decisive wars with Denmark, Austria and France to unite 39 independent German states under Prussian leadership. Although an arch-conservative, Bismarck introduced progressive reforms—including universal male suffrage and the establishment of the first welfare state—in order to achieve his goals. He manipulated European rivalries to make Germany a world power, but in doing so laid the groundwork for both World Wars.

Answer:

The study of history helps you to

identify patterns

remember famous people and events

connect the past, present, and future

recognize contributions of past civilizations

Explanation:

Identify pattern

As mentioned earlier, history builds your basics of understanding any event. If you know certain things about the ancient civilization you will be able to connect the dots or identify the patterns or the similarities between them.

Get good grades

This point isn’t vital but studying history will get you good grades in history regardless of other things.

Remember famous people and events

We all came to know about the world war or various events that took place in history or about Abraham Lincoln or John F Kennedy, Mother Terasa, and many more other famous people or events through studying history.

Connect the past present and future

History provides you with past information or knowledge which makes you understand present better and also it helps in building a better future.

Recognize the contribution of past civilization

Like the drainage system from the Harappa civilization or staying near the river from the Mesopotamians, we came to know about the civilizations that shaped us.

These maps show ancient settlements in India and China. Why might people Initially have chosen these places to live?
bogdanovich [222]

In the beginnings of human settlements, when the Agricultural Revolution had happened and people needed to grow food to survive, the most fundamental feature of the soil was its fertility.

And so it happens that soil is much more fertile and easy to grow food on if there are floods or at least water nearby.

The first map shows the localization of the Indus Valley civilization (3300 - 1300 BCE) and the second is where the Yellow River civilization (3500 BCE-?) was born.

These civilizations were formed in these territories due to the presence of water: in the Indus Valley there were periodical floods that helped grow food, and in the Yellow River basin it was possible to build an irrigation system that sustained people around it.

Why was the triple entente formed? what were they responding to?
Lemur [1.5K]
It was formed as a counter-balance to another powerful alliance of powers in Europe. The Triple Entente was formed as an answer to the Triple Alliance, which was a military alliance of Germany, Austria-Hungary and Italy, in which they promised each other military support in case of an attack by another powerful country.
