Since each system of an animal works to maintain homeostasis in the body, an abnormality in the animal’s anatomy or physiology can disturb this flow, forcing the other systems to change in order to keep the balance of homeostasis. An abnormality of one part of an animal’s physiology can affect multiple parts.
