The correct answer is C) They have the resources to hide or mask their behavior.

Explanation:

The conflict perspective on deviance purposes actions that break the laws (deviance) and punishment for these are influenced by the conflict between different social classes. In this way, the high class or elite has a major influence in deviance and justice; this causes them to influence what is considered as deviance according to their interests.

Moreover, since the elite has a great influence, power in society and money they can avoid punishment by either changing what should be punished or using their power and money to mask deviance. Thus, when the elite violates norms, they avoid deviance because "They have the resources to hide or mask their behavior".

11. Despite everything, Jeannette refuses to condemn her parents. Were you able, as a reader, to remain equally nonjudgmental? W
Sveta_85 [38]

Answer:

No, as a reader, I wasn't able to remain equally nonjudgmental as Jeanette.

Explanation:

I wasn't able to remain equally nonjudgmental as Jeanette because she was brought up in a family where she thinks that her parents had done much more for her than she deserves.

Jeanette refuses to condemn her parents because she is sentimentally connected to them so much. As a reader, I feel that her parents have failed to protect her from sexual predators as they thought that it was normal when in reality it was their duty to protect her from any potential threat.

Jeanette also feels that she should not confront her parents with her personal problems. However, it is rather the parents who have made it 'normal' for her to feel that some things are meant to just 'let it slip'. This is why I think her parents have failed in my perspective.
