Answer:

Electrons flow from anode to cathode (this is always the case). For an electrolytic cell however, this flow is not spontaneous but must be driven by an external power source. In an electrolytic cell, the anode has the "+" sign.

AT constant temperature, a gas is compressed from 5.5 L to 1 L. At 1 L, the pressure of the gas is 98.2 kPa. What was the origin
svet-max [94.6K]

We have that the original pressure of this gas is mathematically given as

P2=17.854 kPa

Boyle's law

Question Parameters:

AT constant temperature, a gas is compressed from 5.5 L to 1 L.

At 1 L, the pressure of the gas is 98.2 kPa

Generally the equation for Boyle's law is mathematically given as

P1V1=P2V2

Therefore

P1=\frac{P2V2}{V1}\\\\P2=\frac{98.2*1}{5.5}

P2=17.854 kPa

What is the mole ratio of water to H3PO4?
Artyom0805 [142]

Answer:

Explanation:

Phosphoric acid H₃PO₄ is produced from reaction of water and tetraphosphorus decoxide P₄O₁₀ as follows

P₄O₁₀ + 6 H₂O = 4 H₃PO₄

In this reaction 6 molecules of H₂O and one molecule of phosphorus compound P₄O₁₀ is needed to produce phosphoric acid , ie the conversion factor of water to acid is 6 / 1

This ratio is called mole ratio of water to H₃PO₄.

So the required ratio is 6 : 1 .

Suppose 6 quarts of a solution that is 45% antifreeze is mixed with 2 quarts of a solution that is 19% antifreeze.
Sidana [21]
6+2=8 quarts of a new solution

0.45*6 - quarts antifreeze in a solution that is 45% antifreeze
0.19*2 - quarts antifreeze in a solution that is 19% antifreeze

x- concentration of a new solution
8x - quarts antifreeze in a new solution

0.45*6 + 0.19*2 = 8x
3.08=8x
x= 0.385 =38.5 %
