Both weak acids and bases based on their name are weak not only based on the amount of materials that can eventually ionize or move into solution.

It would take more energy to remove the bonding electrons in a weak acid or base than compared to a strong Acid or base, thus in part has to do with the overlap of bonding orbitals between the atoms in the chemical bonds.

The values for H would be positive for both indicating an endothermic process, I believe.

The concentration of gallium in silicon is 5.0 × 10−7 at%. What is the concentration in kilograms of gallium per cubic meter?
Step2247 [10]

Answer:

[ Ga ] = 1.163 E-8 Kg/m³

Explanation:

  • %wt = [(mass Ga)/(mass Si)]*100 = 5.0 E-7 %

⇒ 5.0 E-9 = m Ga/m Si

assuming: m Si = 100 g = 0.1 Kg

⇒ m Ga = (5.0 E-9)*(0.1 Kg) = 5 E-10 Kg

∴ density (δ) Si = 2.33 Kg/m³

⇒ Volume Si = (0.1 Kg)*(m³/2.33 Kg) = 0.043 m³

⇒ [ Ga ] = (5 E-10 Kg)/(0.043 m³) = 1.163 E-8 Kg/m³

⇒ [ Ga ] =

A reaction produces 92.50 g FeSO4. How many grams of CuSO4 are necessary for this to occur?
xxMikexx [17]

Fe+CuSO4⟶Cu+FeSO4

Given that

FeSO4 = 92.50 g

Number of moles = amount in  g / molar mass

=92.50 g / 151.908 g/mol

=0.609 moles FeSO4

Now calculate the moles of CuSO4 as follows:

0.609 moles FeSO4 * 1 mole CuSO4 /1 mole FeSO4

= 0.609 moles CuSO4

Amount in g = number of moles * molar mass

= 0.609 moles CuSO4 * 159.609 g/mol

= 97.19 g CuSO4
