Who carries the responsibility of implementing legislation and executive orders
maks197457 [2]
The President (aka Executive Branch) is responsible for implementing legislation and executive orders. The US Constitution gives the president this power, as Article Two outlines the expectations and rights of the executive branch. This power given to the president can be checked by other branches of the federal government though, as the Supreme Court has the power of judicial review. This means the Supreme Court can rule acts of legislation or executive orders as unconstitutional.

Should the United States Have Annexed the Philippines?
rusak2 [61]

Answer:

The U.S. should have annexed the Philippines because it would’ve given us a larger sphere of power and influence. However, you could argue this larger sphere of power is bad because this is what got the Spanish in the conflict in the first place, the more land they occupied, the more revolutions from the people, and the annexation of the Philippines did in fact cause a revolt and a more deadly one, 4,200 Americans and over 20,000 Filipino soldiers were killed, and 200,000 Filipinos civilians were killed from famine, disease, and violence.

Why is the argument of missile defense in the nation of Cuba a non-starter?
k0ka [10]
The argument of missile defense in the nation of Cuba is a non-starter because the USA will never willingly allow a nation that is so close to its territory, and is an ally of its arch enemy, Russia, to have such a defensive system installed, because it will also mean that Russia may use Cuba as its military base and threaten the USA territory at any moment, from close proximity, and also they will have a protection by any attack as a response.
