What is there to answer! AH HA HA HA.

*smacks keyboard on head*

Please read this.

Why am I running for president of the United States of America? That’s a good question, and perhaps there’s no good way to answer it. Or perhaps there is a good way to answer it. Either way, it’s a good question and I’m glad it was asked.

I want to talk a little bit about our nation’s opinion. Before this speech, a man named Robert Exley came up to me. Robert is a artist, a very noble profession. He was holding his small daughter, Emily, an adorable 3-year-old who was recently diagnosed with leukemia. He is a straight shooter, and came up to me and asked me a question I can't forget: “Hey, Cameron, do you like children?” And I looked him straight in the eye and said, “Yes, Robert, I do.” Maybe that’s not a popular opinion, but it’s what I believe.

The state of our economy is in a constant flux. Every single day, the stocks go up or go down or will stay the same. If elected president, I will ask the Federal Reserve to take a good long look at the interest rate and decide whether or not to change it. If elected president, I will create jobs where there are none, and where there are jobs, I will create internships.

And to those of you who would say, “I don’t think children are our future,” I must say in the strongest of terms: “I disagree.” Sometimes you have to take a stand for what you believe in like I do. We all should.

I will say our country is sharply divided over a war that is being waged in this land, all lands. My views on this war are clear: it is happening, it is happening in everywhere, and it will continue to happen until it is cured.

What do you mean by cured?

Well is a virus, specifically one called Coronavirus...

Some people believe we should withdraw all the activities we do now. Some people believe we do all the activities we want to right now. Some people believe we should stay and fight it until we’ve established a stable nation. Some people feel like we have handed over control to the virus. I feel we should fight it and develop a cure to live in a country with our deserved freedom, we cannot and will not hand it over to a virus.

We all need some socializing, not like you kind people are doing today but instead what activities you would prefer to do.

- I care deeply about social service programs and providing opportunities for low-income households

- provide free tuitions for doctors

- close the income gap and raise the minimum wage

- I appreciate everyone who wakes up every day and works hard for their community

. A building in the shape of a rectangular prism needs to be painted. Some facts about the building are shown below. The buildin
Softa [21]

Answer:

(2)(120)(80) + (2)(120)(50) - (4)(60)(5²)

Step-by-step explanation:

The lateral faces of the building are the 4 sides of the building consisting:

2 rectangles of 120 ft by 80 ft

Area of the two rectangular faces = (2)(120)(80)

And

2 rectangles of 120 ft by 50 ft

Area of the two rectangular faces = (2)(120)(50)

✔️Total lateral surface area of the building = (2)(120)(80) + (2)(120)(50)

Note: we are asked to find the expression that represents the total surface area that needs to be painted given that there are 60 windows on each lateral face of the building of the shape of a square with side lengths of 5 ft.

Therefore, the total lateral surface area of the building that will be painted = total lateral surface of the building - total area covered by the 60 windows on each face of the building

Surface area covered by 60 windows in the 4 lateral face of the building = (4)(60)(5²)

✅total lateral surface area of the building that will be painted = (2)(120)(80) + (2)(120)(50) - (4)(60)(5²)

Prove each of the following statements below using one of the proof techniques and state the proof strategy you use.
pochemuha

Answer:

See below

Step-by-step explanation:

a) Direct proof: Let m be an odd integer and n be an even integer. Then, there exist integers k,j such that m=2k+1 and n=2j. Then mn=(2k+1)(2j)=2r, where r=j(2k+1) is an integer. Thus, mn is even.

b) Proof by counterpositive: Suppose that m is not even and n is not even. Then m is odd and n is odd, that is, m=2k+1 and n=2j+1 for some integers k,j. Thus, mn=4kj+2k+2j+1=2(kj+k+j)+1=2r+1, where r=kj+k+j is an integer. Hence mn is odd, i.e, mn is not even. We have proven the counterpositive.

c) Proof by contradiction: suppose that rp is NOT irrational, then rp=m/n for some integers m,n, n≠. Since r is a non zero rational number, r=a/b for some non-zero integers a,b. Then p=rp/r=rp(b/a)=(m/n)(b/a)=mb/na. Now n,a are non zero integers, thus na is a non zero integer. Additionally, mb is an integer. Therefore p is rational which is contradicts that p is irrational. Hence np is irrational.

d) Proof by cases: We can verify this directly with all the possible orderings for a,b,c. There are six cases:

a≥b≥c, a≥c≥b, b≥a≥c, b≥c≥a, c≥b≥a, c≥a≥b

Writing the details for each one is a bit long. I will give you an example for one case: suppose that c≥b≥a then max(a, max(b,c))=max(a,c)=c. On the other hand, max(max(a, b),c)=max(b,c)=c, hence the statement is true in this case.

e) Direct proof: write a=m/n and b=p/q, with m,q integers and n,q nonnegative integers. Then ab=mp/nq. mp is an integer, and nq is a non negative integer. Hence ab is rational.

f) Direct proof. By part c), √2/n is irrational for all natural numbers n. Furthermore, a is rational, then a+√2/n is irrational. Take n large enough in such a way that b-a>√2/n (b-a>0 so it is possible). Then a+√2/n is between a and b.

g) Direct proof: write m+n=2k and n+p=2j for some integers k,j. Add these equations to get m+2n+p=2k+2j. Then m+p=2k+2j-2n=2(k+j-n)=2s for some integer s=k+j-n. Thus m+p is even.

9x - y = 15 2x + 8y = 28
faust18 [17]
9x - y = 15
2x + 8y = 28

Use the substitution method.
Solve for y in the first equation.

9x - y = 15
-y = 15 - 9x
y = -15 + 9x

Now plug in y into the second equation.
2x + 8(-15 + 9x) = 28
2x - 120 + 72x = 28
74x - 120 = 28
74x = 148
x = 2

Plug x back into the rewritten first equation.
y = -15 + 9(2)
y = -15 + 18
y = 3

x = 2, y = 3
