Answer:

It is impossible to know the solution of this expression unless you know how much a is worth or some information on the other side of the equation. If you don't know what I mean then I'll explain it a bit more. An equation is 2 expressions that are equal to each other but here I don't know anything about the other side of the equation. For example, an equation like this: 3a - 15= 6 is solvable because I know enough information to solve this.

3a - 15 + 15= 6 + 15

3a = 21

Therefore I can now find out what the answer is but your equation does not have enough information for it to be solved.

8. Community Hospital, aa 120 bed facility reported that in March there were 545 discharges. Using the direct formula, what was
Anna007 [38]

Answer:

Therefore, the bed turnover rate for March was 4.5416.

Step-by-step explanation:

We know that community hospital a 120 bed facility reported that in March there were 545 discharges. We calculate what was the bed turnover rate for March.

The Direct Variation Formula is y=kx.

We know that y=545 discharges and x=120 bed.

Therefore, we get:

y=k\cdot x\\\\545=k\cdot 120\\\\k=\frac{545}{120}\\\\k=4.5416

Therefore, the bed turnover rate for March was 4.5416.

Answer:

The volume of the ice cream cone is 528.1 cubic centimeters.

Step-by-step explanation:

The formula for finding the volume of a cone is V = \pi r^2\frac{h}{3}.

Substitute values now:

V = \pi* 5.8^2*\frac{15}{3}

V ≈ 528.1

Write the quadratic equation whose roots are 3 and -1, and whose leading coefficient is 5.
Assoli18 [71]

Answer:

5x² - 10x - 15 = 0

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that the roots are x = 3 and x = - 1, then the factors are

(x - 3) and (x + 1) and the quadratic is the product of the factors, that is

f(x) = a(x - 3)(x + 1) ← a is a multiplier

Here a = 5, thus

f(x) = 5(x - 3)(x + 1) ← expand factors using FOIL

     = 5(x² - 2x - 3) ← distribute parenthesis by 5

     = 5x² - 10x - 15

Thus equation is

5x² - 10x - 15 = 0

ki77a [65]

Answer: A. (-8,-3)

Step-by-step explanation:

Original formula is f(x)=|x-h|+k, the vertex is (h,k), so a positive h in the formula would turn out negative in the vertex.
