Montano1993 [528]

Answer:

Generally in non flowering plant the male sex organ is called the antheridium, while the female is called the  achegonium. Due to the habitat and methods of reproduction, special adaptive feature s have been developed by these plants to ensure reproduction and prevent extinction.

Explanation:

Based on structure,Antheridial (male sex cells) are usually upright in position, with pores located at the top of the antherialdial disk. These perforation is adaptive feature for effective dispersal of sperm during reproduction.

In addition  present in the  archegoniu is  the achegonium dsik. The latter  is the adaptive feature for protection of the archegonia. The disc serve as an umbrella surface for the protection of the archegonia during reproduction. Thus ovum is well protected  to ensure fertilization and prevent wastage.
