"Jamie found the ISBN number of the book she wanted to order in the Books in Print Catalog. To remember the eleven-digit number,
disa [49]

Answer:

- Chunking.

Explanation:

'Chunking' is described as the memorization strategy that involves the splitting(also known as recoding) of a voluminous concept or large information into smaller pieces to make it convenient and efficient to retain and remember it.

In the given situation, Jamie employs this strategy of 'chunking' by recoding the long eleven-digit number and dividing it into the her best friend's birth year(1977) and phone number of her aunt '255-2901' which makes it easier for her to retain the information(by grouping these chunks/pieces together) in her short-term memory and remember it for a longer period of time.

Teiresias tells creon that the only crime is pride. how was creon shown that he is guilty of pride?
sergeinik [125]
Creon will not listen to anybody - he thinks that he is the smartest one and that his decisions are the only ones that are worth something. He will never admit that he is wrong, until the end of the play when his whole family dies. He is guilty of hubris, which is excessive pride, which is the cause of his downfall.

Pie

Microscope increases the information by magnification, resolution and contrast.

Microscope is the device used to view the objects that human eyes are incapable to see. The microorganisms, cells etc are viewed through the microscope. Microscope aids in viewing these specimens by three properties namely magnification, resolution and contrast.

Magnification is defined as the increasing the apparent size of object. The actual size of the specimen remains same. Resolution refers to minimum distance that separates the object. Due to resolution, we are able to see distinct images on magnification. Contrast is the adjustment of light intensity to assist in viewing and differentiating the object from its own and overall background.
