In triangle ABC and PQR,

  • Angle A = Angle P

( they are equal, measures 60° each )

  • Angle B = Angle Q

( they are equal, measures 43° each )

so, the given triangles are Similar by

=》AA Similarity criterion

now, since the triangles are similar

the corresponding sides will be proportional,

\frac{AC }{PR}  =  \frac{BC }{QR}

=》

\frac{6}{15}  =  \frac{9}{y}

=》

\frac{2}{5}  =  \frac{9}{y}

=》

2y = 45

(by cross multiplication)

=》

y = 22.5

value of y = 22.5 cm
