Answer: The correct option is A, the remainder is 7.

Explanation:

The coefficient of terms in the given synthetic division are 4,6 an -3.

Write the first coefficient as it is in bottom line.

Now multiply 1 by 4 and write the result (i.e., 4) in middle line below the second coefficient.

Now add 6 and 4 and write the result (i.e., 10 ) in bottom row.

Now multiply 1 by 10 and write the result (i.e., 10) in middle line below the third coefficient.

Now add -3 and 10 and write the result (i.e., 7 ) in bottom row.

Now the first two terms shows the coefficient of polynomial and last term show the remainder.

Since the last term is 7 therefore, the remainder is 7.

Find the conjugate and product of the following surds
Scilla [17]

Answer:

(1) Conjugate = -i8

(2) Conjugate = -i3+9

(3) Conjugate = i2+1

(4) Conjugate = -3-iy

Step-by-step explanation:

From the question,

Conjugate of a surd is formed by changing the sign between a rational number and a surd in an expression.

The conjugate of a surd is obtained by changing the sign of the surd in the expression.

Given

(1) i3+i5 = i8

Conjugate is -i8

(2) i3+9

Conjugate is -i3+9

(3) -i2+1

Conjugate is i2+1

(4) -3+iy

Conjugate is -3-iy

BEST ANSWER GETS BRAINLIEST AND 3 THANKS I NEED HELP WITH THIS PLZ THANK YOU
Alenkinab [10]
Ok so remember
order of simplification
PEMDAS
parenthaseese
exponents
multiplicaton or division whichever comes first
addition or subtraction whichever comes first

ok so remmeber work from the left to right parenthasees first and work from inside to outer parenthasees

so first one

innermost parenthasees first so
first step is 2-4
subtract 4 from 2

second one
if xy=0 then assume x and y=0 so
(a+2)(b-9)=0
a+2=0
a=-2

b-9=0
b=9

so answe ris a=-2
b=9

third questions

innermost parenthaees first
subtract 4 from 2

ok
1. subtrac 4 from 2
2. a=-2, b=9
3. subtract 4 from 2
