On a scale drawing, a school is 1.6 feet tall. The scale factor is 1/22. Find the height of the school.
Vesnalui [34]
35.2ft

You can get this my multiplying the scale factor by the height. In this case you need to use the bottom number to multiply since you are going in reverse.

Which reason is missing in step 2? CPCTC definition of supplementary angles triangle parts relationship theorem triangle angle s
chubhunter [2.5K]

The reason which is missing from the step 2 in the calculation of two similar triangle, is triangle angle sum theorem.

What is triangle angle sum theorem?

According to the triangle angle sum theorem, the sum of all the angle(interior) of a triangle is equal to the 180 degrees.

Given information-

The measure of the angle in the given problem is as,

m\angle H=30^o\\m\angle J=50^o\\m\angle P=50^o\\m\angle N=100^o

The two triangle has to be prove similar as,

\Delta HKJ \sim\Delta LNP

The image of the two triangle attached below.

The calculation done in the second step is as,

m\angle H +m\angle J+m\angle K=180

In the above calculation all the angle of the first triangle are added together. The result of the sum of all the angle of the triangle kept equal to the 180.

This is done by the property of triangle angle sum theorem, which says the sum of all the angle(interior) of a triangle is equal to the 180 degrees.

Thus the reason which is missing from the step 2 in the calculation of two similar triangle, is triangle angle sum theorem.

Find an autonomous differential equation with all of the following properties:Equilibrium solutions at y=0 and y=3, y' > 0 fo
Kipish [7]

Answer:

dy = 2(c-3y)dt

Step-by-step explanation:

Given the Equilibrium solutions at y=0 and y=3, y' > 0 for 0 < y < 3; and y' < 0 for -inf < y < 0 and 3 < y < inf.

from the boundary conditions given,

 • y' > 0 for 0 < y < 3;
 • y' < 0 for -inf < y < 0
 • and 3 < y < inf

 • since our task is to find the differential of y wrt t i.e dy/dt,
 • from the first condition, it implies that if we are to assume from the range of values of y = {0,1,2}, assume when y =0, t = 0

from y = 3, y-3 = 0

integrate wrt dy i.e Integral (y-3) dy = 0

y2/2 - 3y + c = 0, where c is the constant of integration

hence, y2-6y+2c = 0

from the equation, above for the differential of y (dy/dx) to be greater than zero, for the boundary conditions, 0 < y < 3, the constant of integrative must be negative or zero.

hence the equation y2-6y+2c = 0 can be written as

dy/dx =2c-6y, dy = 2(c-3y)dt

in terms of t
